The island of Ambae is in it's fourth stage of this year's 20th June, eruptions.
Vanuatu's department of Meteorology and Geo-Hazards has reported that on the 1st of July, 2018, last weekend, the volcano threw up ashes over the surrounding area, especially over the Northwest and West of Ambae.
With Strong east southeasterly winds blowing the ash emissions as far as the Northeastern part of the island Santo.
Authorities have reported that the volcano continues to emit steam and volcanic gas into the atmosphere.
Notifications are being made to all residents of Ambae island and nearby islands that the volcanic activities are at alert level 2 and there are possibilities of volcanic hazards, such as volcanic bombs, gas and ash which can affect the life and livelihoods to people, animals and equipment.
