A hundred and fifty people with special needs from West Ambae with their care-takers arrived in Luganville, Santo yesterday.
The people were transported on MV Mahalia.
The National Disaster Management Office reports that they expect the number to increase once they have flown those who could not travel by boat.
The gender and protection cluster has given its support to the Penama health cluster and line agencies in the on-going evacuations to Santo.
The gender and protection cluster along with the Sanma Provincial Council, have also set up temporary shelter for those people who volunitarily relocated to Santo.
