Ambae chiefs in Port Vila presented data on evacuated and relocated people of Ambae, and which islands they were relocated to within Vanuatu.
This is since the third state of emergency, which will end on September 26, 2018.
The data presentation happened in the presence of Vanuatu's Association of Non-Government Organisations, VANGO, international NGO based in Port Vila, the National Disaster Mangement, NDMO officers and the civil society.
The objective behind having the data presentations is to enable different groupings and the agencies to know figures and be able to make decisions on the humanitarian aid they can offer.
The major part of the population moved to Santo.
A former national statistician, Benuel Lenge, said that the data they collected was based on Disaster Management Office format.
A local lawyer and consultant, Arthur Faerua, stressed the importance of having good data which can be read by the relevant authorities.
Operations Manager of the NDMO, Peter Korisa, confirmed that the NDMO has taken note of the data and other facts presented.
The presentation was held at the Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs headquarters in Port Vila.
