Parliament will debate the motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister, at 4 oclock this afternoon.

This follows a court ruling made on November 29th, for parliament to debate the motion.

And this follows an urgent constitutional case filed by the Opposition, after the Speaker of parliament earlier ruled that the motion was not in order.

But supreme court found that the motion was in order.

The motion was deposited last month by the opposition group in parliament.

Meanwhile, the coalition government led by Prime Minister Charlot Salwai has reaffirmed a majority support of 33 MPs.

And Opposition Leader, Ismael Kalsakau also claims to have the numbers.

In another related news, parliament was unable to continue with its morning session, following the death of the Prime Minister's younger sister, and MPs had to pay respect to the government leader.

Speaker adjourned the meeting to 4pm this afternoon.
