The Vanuatu Broadcasting and Television Corporation(VBTC) signed a contract this morning with the Ministry of Health to promote health informations to the people of Vanuatu.
Director General of the Ministry of Health, George Taleo says he usually listens to Radio Vanuatu and all he hears is, many Non-government Organisations(NGO's) talking about health issues but nothing is heard from health officers from the Ministry.
DG Taleo calls on every health staff to perform to their best ability, and share health information to the public.
The Chief Executive Officer of VBTC, Francis Herman says he's grateful to reach this stage and not because of the sponsorship money, but for services to be delivered to the people, through tv, radio and online.
He says VBTC aims to have full radio coverage throughout the country by August and Television by November this year.
VBTC News understands the sponsorship for the 1 year contract signed this morning is 2 million vatu, and both partners want this partnership to grow in future.
The Vanuatu Broadcasting & Television Corporation owns a National Radio Service called Radio Vanuatu, two commercial FM Station Paradise FM in Port Vila and Halo FM in Luganville and a National Television Service free to Air Television Blong Vanuatu.
