The Japanese Government has agreed to assist Vanuatu's Health sector.
This agreement comes after the signing of the Grant Aid Assistance between the Japanese Ambasada, Her Excellency Harumi Katsumata and Vanuatu's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ralph Reganvanu, yesterday.
Ambasador Katsumata says grant of 600 million vatu which comes under that aid title, Economic Social Development Programme, ESDP was agreed to at the PALM 8 Leaders' meeting when the leaders met in Japan, May last year.
It will go towards running a mobile clinic in remote rural areas of Vanuatu.
As well as covering some medical equipment costs for hospitals and medical centers nation-wide.
Such as improving water storage facilities, general sanitation and hygiene facilities in health centers which will thus help local communities.
The Vanuatu Broadcasting & Television Corporation owns a National Radio Service called Radio Vanuatu, two commercial FM Station Paradise FM in Port Vila and Halo FM in Luganville and a National Television Service free to Air Television Blong Vanuatu.
