Third repatriation of Vanuatu citizens
Vanuatu’s third repatriation flight is arriving this afternoon.
The Vanuatu Foreign Affairs Department Director, Yvon Basil says this flight will repatriate a total of 126 Vanuatu cruise ship crews from the Philippines.
Mr Basil says the flight was organised by the P&O Cruises.
“An Air Niugini aircraft will fly both the Vanuatu and Fiji crews from the Philippines. The flight is scheduled to firstly arrive in Nadi, Fiji then to Noumea, New Caledonia and the Vanuatu crew will board another aircraft from there which is an Air Caledonie aircraft that will fly them to Vanuatu,” he said.
Director Basil says the crews will also be quarantined for 14 days before returning to their families.
